My 2022 Makeup Picks: Seasonal Colour Analysis

For those of you who don't know what a Seasonal Colour Analysis is, it's a tool used to help us figure out what colours harmonize with our natural eye, hair and undertone skin colour. These colours will give us a glow, meaning it will will make us look more youthful and make our eyes sparkle.


The Seasonal Colour Analysis divides everyone into four basic seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. My client's that have already been allocated a season, had the Style Review service with me. They have received a complimentary colour swatch in their season to take with them shopping and a Makeup guide with recommendations on which shades to look for.

Spring:


Foundation: Yellow-based (golden or apricot tone) foundations are best as you have a warm undertone.



Cult favorite among many - great for Springs as the shades tend to be on the warmer side and have a yellow undertone. They do not have a lot of shade options , but if you match up, you will have the amazing sun protection benefits and creamy medium to full coverage. I use this myself, as I have sensitive skin and it does an amazing job in covering my redness. Another dupe that blew up on social media is the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation.


Blush: Look for blushers with Peach and Apricot shades.



One of the top-selling blushes for 2022. It's liquid-like cream blush melts into second skin for a natural-looking flush.


Eyeshadow: Look for palettes that are warm, colours can include, brown, cream, coral, green and purple.



How gorgeous are these shades with the brown naturals with warm undertones?! An all-in-one eyeshadow and primer palette with one primer and eight blendable shades in matte and shimmer finishes.


Highlighter: Look for Cream, Peach or soft Gold shades.



A clean, moisturizing highlighter with skincare benefits. Easy to apply with the stick application. Customers rave about the natural glow it gives.


Mascara: Brown Mascara is your go-to, unless you have dark hair then Black Mascara will work.



A vegan mascara that delivers a 35 percent increase in curl and contains natural ingredients. It's a 24-hr wear and smudge prove and customers rave about how feathery it fans out your eyelashes.


Lips: The best colours for you are Peach, Apricot and Coral shades.

Autumn:

Blush: Look for blushers that have a Red-Brown or Golden-Brown shade.



A buildable cream blush that will give you a juicy glow. Such a unique shade!


Eyeshadow: Browns and Golds are your best friends when it comes to eye colours.



Can we get any warmer than this?! Love how many warm shades there are to choose from. There are wearable matte and shimmers that are universally flattering.


Highlighter: Stick with an intense gold shimmer.



A popular highlight among makeup-lovers. As an Autumn, you have a goddess complexation. This highlighter will enhance the golden features you have.


Mascara: Dark brown Mascara is your go-to, unless you have dark hair then Black Mascara will work.



To complement your golden, green or dark eyes, this mascara will enhance your eyes and give you the volume you want.


Lips: Any shade of Brown and Bronze will look amazing on you.



A clean, vegan and hydrating lipstick loved by many. There are other shades too that you can wear: Espresso Brava, Ginger Malt, Harissa, Tamarind and Extreme Sugar Buns.


Winter:


Foundation: Look for foundations with a cool blue-based, pink or rosy tones.



I'm sure you have heard about this viral foundation that is a makeup-skincare-hybrid foundation that creates a smooth-like finish.


Blush: Look for blushers that have a strong, deep tone -a deep pink or wine colour.



Loving this NARS pressed powder pink blush which is slightly cool-toned, with a mostly matte finish. This blush is easy to blend into the skin, with medium pigmentation that is great for beginners to work with.


Eyeshadow: Your best eye colours are all shades of pink, purples, blues and greys.

Highlighter: Use ice pinks or greys for this.



A beautiful highlighter palette with four shimmering, pearlescent shades that complement cool undertones. There's a cream-based pink shade, an iridescent blue and purple shade, a cool toned champagne shade, and a frosted pink shade.


Mascara: Black is your go-to!



With a few coats of this popular mascara, you will achieve voluminous and long eyelashes.


Lips: The brighter- the better! Go for bold pinks and blue toned reds or purples.



If you want a lipstick that is long-lasting and is pigmented, this one is for you. A soft-matte finish, bright-pink shade, but it comes in other bold, statement-making shades. Anyone with cool undertones can pull them off.


Summer:


Foundation: Look for foundations with a cool blue-based, pink or rosy tones.



Generally Summers have a fair complexation and this foundation is perfect for you! It gives medium coverage and builds up beautifully; plus, with coconut water and alpine rose, it won’t parch skin.


Blush: Look for blushers that have a soft, muted tone.



A gorgeous icy pink for rosy cheeks for a natural glow.


Eyeshadow: As a Summer, you can wear pale pinks and purples.



A dream of cool-toned pink shades. Rose-inspired matte and shimmer shades. Well-known for their pigmented shades.


Highlighter: Use pale pinks or greys for this.



A liquid highlighter that creates a soft and luminous finish.


Mascara: Black is your go-to!



A mascara that will give you a lengthened look without overpowering your soft and light eyes.


Lipstick: Your best lip colour is pink!
